Bob Wright dominated the 1930's and the sport like no other man in any other era. Beginning in 1937, he won three straight high point titles and won all 11 events that he placed in. As a junior, he set records in the 120 yard hurdles and the discus and reset those records the following year. He won the championship in 5 different events and nine of his marks were good enough to make the top 6 in the event for the decade of the 1930's. He held the top 120Y Hurdle mark for 32 years. His 67 decade high points using the inclusive scoring method is easily the best ever as is his 43 decade high points using the exclusive scoring method. His 11 titles in a single sport are topped only by Fayetteville's Jessica Taylor (12).
