John Perry of Huntington excelled in a a number of events in the early 1950's. Despite only placing in events for two seasons, he was able to accumulate enough points to make the all time early era athlete rankings. He won two titles at the 220 yard distance and set a record at the equivalent of today's 300 hurdle distance.
