Chick-fil-A Invitational
September 6,
2014
We are extending an invitation for
your school to be a part of the 14th annual Chick-fil-A Invitational on September 6, 2014. The meet site is the Wood County 4-H Camp on
Butcher Bend Road in Mineral Wells, West Virginia. (See directions and details on next page).
The
course is run entirely on grass and is a combination of gently rolling hills
and flat areas, which should provide for very good times. The high school races will be 5,000 meters,
the middle school races will be 3,000 meters, and the elementary races will be 400-800
meters. There will be an admission fee
for spectators. Change facilities and
restrooms will be on site at the campgrounds.
There will be a large area for school tents and parking for at least
5,000 cars. In the event of inclement
weather, various buildings are available for cover for participants as well as
spectators. You can preorder T-shirts by
visiting www.runWV.com/shirt.jpg. Exclusive Chick-fil-A
Invitational T-shirts will be on sale day of the race. Hot and cold concessions will be
available. The awards ceremony will be
on site, next to the start/finish area.
You must
register online. Go to www.timetoenter.com to register. Entry
fees for our meet are $35 for each team per high school (if both a boys' and
girls' team, then $70) and $20 for each team per middle school (if both a boys'
and girls' team, then $40). There is a
$5 per runner fee for all other individuals.
Please make checks payable to: Chick-fil-A Invitational and mail to On the Run, 2903 Emerson Avenue, Parkersburg, WV 26104. The deadline for entry applications and fees
is August 30, 2014. No entries after the deadline and no refunds.
NOTICE: Any school whose entry fees have not been
received by the day of the race will not be allowed to participate. Checks in the mail do not constitute
received payment.
