2026 MOUNTAINEER SHOWCASE

The Mountaineer Showcase Track & Field meet began in 2019 with the event being held at the new Mylan Park Track and Field Complex in Morgantown, WV.  The event continues to be hosted by the Monongalia County-Based Friends of Track and Field .  The event this year will consist of a meet with ONLY College Teams on Friday and ONLY High School Teams on Saturday.  Sponsoring companies, individuals, and the Friends of Track and Field have joined in sponsoring this year's Showcase.  WVU Track & Field is the Host School on the College side, and University High School is this year's Host School on the High School side.  The meet will showcase competitive races that provide athletes the opportunity to perform at their best in hopes of achieving faster times, higher jumps, and longer throws.  The Showcase Meet is happy to host multiple athletes and school throughout the tri-state area!

Hosted by: The Friends of Track and Field Friday, April 17th (COLLEGE) and Saturday, April 18, 2026 (HIGH SCHOOL), at the Track & Field Complex at Mylan Park in Morgantown, WV.  The Track & Field Complex at Mylan Park features an eight-lane prefabricated, synthetic Mondo Track surface.  Mondo is considered a world leader in track and field surfacing and is the surface of choice for the Olympic Games. The facility also features a grass infield for field events, multiple shot-put rings and long jump runways, a warm-up area, public restrooms, a concession stand, a press box, and a state-of-the-art electronic video scoreboard and timing system. Throwing events (shot-put, discus, javelin, hammer, and weight throw) are held on the infield of the track with nets that completely enclose the entire throwing area to protect all competitors and spectators.

*Spike length is not to exceed a 1/4 inch or 7mm, Spikes must be Compression Pyramid and Christmas Tree style, NO needles or pointed Pyramid style spikes will be allowed. (Omni-Lite's 7 mm Christmas Tree Spikes that meet the Mondo and IAAF requirements will be available to purchase at the meet).

The cost will be $75.00 Individual Team / $150.00 Combined Boys and Girls Teams.

*$15 per individual if not with Team

Checks should be made out to Mylan Park Foundation and Friends of Track and Field in the memo. W-9 s for Mylan Park Foundation, Inc are available if requested.

NO TEAM TENTS IN BLEACHERS. Teams will set up in designated tent areas on the Track level.

All entries are due by 8:00 PM on Thursday , April 16, 2026 (Changes Accepted)

*(3) entries per individual event & (1) relay team per relay race.

* Additional entries may be considered based on WV top 10 performance standards.

$5.00 Per vehicle for parking

$5.00 Admission for all spectators.

Bleachers are available for spectators.

Hot and Cold Concessions will be sold. (Multiple Food Truck will also be available)

Commemorative Meet T-shirts will be sold.

Awards for Top 3 individuals per event.
