Connect Bridgeport Meet Closed & Meet Information Changes

Coaches:

The Connect Bridgeport Invitational is now closed.  Due to a relatively small number of high schools attending, we will be allowing unlimited (within reason) entries for all individual events.  The 4 event maximum for all athletes still applies.  This change is for High School only.  We have 13 middle schools attending and will stay with 3 per individual event.

MEET INFORMATION

Location / Time:  The Connect-Bridgeport.com Invitational  will be held at Bridgeport H.S. on Friday and Saturday March 24-25, 2017.  Events will begin at approximately 4:00pm following a schedule similar to the WV State Meet or Gazette Relays.  Click here for the complete schedule.

Coaches may pick up their packets starting at 2:00pm.  Scratches will be taken from 3:00pm  until 3:30pm.  Coaches meeting will begin at 3:30pm.

Entries: 

Middle School teams will be allowed 3 athletes in each individual event and 1 relay team per relay event.  Each athlete may only enter 4 events.  Middle School athletes are not permitted more than 3 running events. 

High School teams will be allowed Unlimited athletes in each individual event and 1 relay team per relay event.  Each athlete may only enter 4 events.  Only 3 individuals may score from a single team.  

We will use the Hy-Tek Team Manager Computerized Entry System.  Entries must be emailed to the address below. A blind scratch will be held on the day of the meet.  Substitutions may be made but no additions will be allowed.

Entry Deadline:  Hy-Tek Entry File must be emailed on or before March 20, 2017

Pole Vault forms must be brought and presented at the pole vault event.

Awards:  Trophies will be presented to the first place boys and girls teams and medals to the high point boy and girl.  Ribbons will be awarded for 1st   through 6th in individual events and 1st through 6th for each member of a relay team.

Scoring: Scoring will be 10-8-6-4-2-1 for individual events and 10-8-6-4-2-1 for relay events.
