Class AAA Boys Individual Event Predictions

100 M	1. Chandler Hamilton	Parkersburg
	2. Gavin Lewis Brooke
	3. Ian MacLeod Washington
	4. Marcus Lofton	Buckhannon-Upshur
	5. Logan Woodell	Parkersburg
	6. Clark Wilson	Huntington
This is a mess. I figure just about everyone in the field has a legitimate shot at placing.
These 6 have run under 11.40 at some point. Hamilton has 5 runs better than anyone else's best.

200 M	1. Chandler Hamilton	Parkersburg
	2. Ryan McGuffin	Huntington
	3. Derrick Brunson	Washington
	4. Marcus Lofton	Buckhannon-Upshur
	5. Bryce Humphreys	Winfield
	6. Paden Christian	Huntington
Hamilton has 3 runs under 22.40. McGuffin was just 0.01 off him at the MSAC championships.
Those two are the only ones with multiple runs under 23 seconds with 4 each. Christian is the
only other one to have run under 23 seconds, but his 2nd best run is just 23.45. Brunson looked
very good at his regional. Lofton has 3 runs under 23.20. 12 have run under 23.30.

400 M	1. Jacob Kilgore	Spring Valley
	2. Derrick Brunson	Washington
	3. Jacob Ervin Hedgesville
	4. Martinez Grant	Jefferson
	5. Brandon Mallett	Buckhannon-Upshur
	6. Braeden Carroll	Wheeling Park
Kilgore has the best time in the field by over 1.2 seconds. He's the only one to have been under
50 seconds, and he's done it 3 times. Brunson and Ervin are the only other ones to have been
under 51, and they both did it at the Regional. Grant has the 2nd best series in the field with
4 runs of 51.30 or better. Maleet has a pair of runs under 51.50 and four under 52. Carroll
has a pair of runs under 52. 8 in the field have been under 52.

800 M	1. Jacob Kilgore	Spring Valley
	2. Nic Cheuvront	Parkersburg
	3. Andrew Milliron	Jefferson
	4. Antonio Jones	Ripley
	5. Jimmy Grant Hurricane
	6. Will Sheils Cabell Midland
Kilgore has the best time in the field by over 2 seconds. I only have 3 races on record for him,
and they're all 1:58.32 or better. Cheuvront gets the nod over Milliron on the freshness factor.
This will be Milliron's 4th event of the weekend. Jones was a placer last year, and he comes in
with better credentials this year. Grant has been under 2:00. Sheils has been under 2:01.
University's Tristan Harvey has been under 2:00 as well, but it will be hard to duplicate after
trying to crush the 1600 earlier in the day.

1600 M	1. Andrew Milliron	Jefferson
	2. Andy Paladino	University
	3. Tristan Harvey	University
	4. Alex Minor University
	5. Anthony Laurita	Morgantown
	6. Matthew Brafford	George Washington
Milliron and Paladino have been under 4:20. Harvey has a pair of 4:23's. Minor and Laurita
have been gone 4:24. Brafford has a pair of 4:26 runs. Elkins' Matt Wallace has been 4:25.
Capital's Marshall Sharp has been 4:27. No one else has been under 4:30. 14 in the field have
been under 4:35.

3200 M	1. Andrew Milliron	Jefferson
	2. Andy Paladino	University
	3. Anthony Laurita	Morgantown
	4. Seth Edwards	University
	5. Matthew Brafford	George Washington
	6. Colin Radabaugh	Preston
Milliron has the only sub 9:30 in the group, but Laurita and Edwards both have a 9:31. Paladino
has a 9:34. Why did I pick him over the other two? Just a feeling. Brafford has a 9:36, and
of course, was under 9:20 last year. Only 11 seconds separates the 6th best time from
the best time. 5 more are within 10 seconds of Radabaugh.

110 HH	1. Dustin Martin	Lewis
	2. Landon Miller	Parkersburg
	3. Evan Rhodes Parkersburg
	4. Richard Cummings	Wheeling Park
	5. Josh Taggart-Perez	Hedgesville
	6. Ryan Gatrell	Huntington
Martin has a pair of runs under 15 seconds and has four under 15.10. Miller has a sub-15 run
and five under 15.20. Rhodes has a pair of runs at 15.20 or better but drops to 15.44 for his
3rd best time. I consider that they could pull Rhodes from this event and use him in the 4x200,
but I think they'll leave him. Cummings and Taggart-Perez have been under 15.20 as well. Gatrell
was 3rd last year.

300 IH	1. Evan Rhodes Parkersburg
	2. Dustin Martin	Lewis
	3. Will Walker George Washington
	4. Josh Taggart-Perez	Hedgesville
	5. Richard Cummings	Wheeling Park
	6. Jake Kidwell	Washington
Rhodes has 3 runs under 39 seconds. No one else has been there. Martin and Walker have each
been under 40 seconds. Taggart-Perez has 4 runs under 41 seconds. Cummings has been under 41
seconds. Kidwell and Parkersburg's Landon Miller have been under 41.50.

4x100 M	1. Huntington
	2. Jefferson
	3. Martinsburg
	4. Musselman
	5. Hedgesville
	6. Princeton
Huntington is the only team to have been under 44 seconds, and they've done it twice. Jefferson
is always a threat and had the best Regional time. Martinsburg beat Musselman at the Regional
but Musselman has the better top time. Hedgesville has a parid of runs under 45 seconds.
Princeton, Parkersburg South, and Cabell Midland have been under 45 seconds.

4x200 M	1. Buckhannon-Upshur
	2. Parkersburg
	3. Jefferson
	4. Huntington
	5. Wheeling Park
	6. Morgantown
Parkersburg has the best time in the field, but that was with Evan Rhodes in the lineup. They'd
have to pull him from the Highs or the 4x400 to move him here, and I don't think they'll do that.
Buckhannon-Upshur and Parkersburg are the only ones to have been under 1:31. Jefferson had the
fastest Regional run and is certainly a threat to win. Huntington has the horses to contend for
the win also. Wheeling Park and Morgantown have been under 1:32.20. Parkersburg South,
Hedgesville, and Cabell Midland have been under 1:33.

4x400 M	1. Jefferson
	2. Parkersburg
	3. Martinsburg
	4. Buckhannon-Upshur
	5. Hampshire
	6. Washington
I actually show Parkersburg as having a slightly better potential time, but Jefferson has run
better by a full second, but I look for both to go in the 3:27 range, possibly even 3:26.
It's very muddled after these two. Martinsburg has the only other run under 3:32 in the field.
Buckhannon-Upshur conceivably has more upward potential than Martinsburg. Hampshire and Washington
are pretty evenly matched. Washington got the edge at the Regional Meet. Hampshire has been
in the 3:33's twice. In ranking the teams by existing times, only 1.37 seconds separates
4th from 9th. Morgantown and Parkersburg South will battle in the first heat and could push
each other into placing positions.

4x800 M	1. University
	2. Cabell Midland
	3. Jefferson
	4. Morgantown
	5. Capital
	6. Parkersburg
University has the top time in the field by 7 seconds. I think they'll hit in the 8:04 range,
and they'll have to because a loaded Cabell Midland can run 8:06. Jefferson and Morgantown
are very similar, but I think Jefferson has the edge. Capital has the potential to run with
those two teams. Parkersburg only has the 10th best time on the list, but they ran 8:26 without
Nic Cheuvront. I show them with potential equaling that of Capital. Hurricane will be in the
mix as well.

Shuttle	1. Parkersburg
	2. Huntington
	3. Hedgesville
	4. Parkersburg South
	5. Martinsburg
	6. Wheeling Park
Parkersburg is the only team to have gone under 58 seconds. They have 3 runs under 59 and five
under 59.25. Huntington has gone under 59 twice and has five runs under 60. Hedgesville is the
only other team to have been under 60 seconds, and they've been under 59. Parkersburg South
and Martinsburg have been close to the 60 second barrier. Wheeling Park is the only other team
to have been under 61 seconds.

H Jump	1. Christian Smith	Winfield
	2. Casey Feezle	Hampshire
	3. Garrett DeFries	Hurricane
	4. Evan DeGraef	Parkersburg South
	5. Marc Logan Oak Hill
	6. Dustin Martin	Lewis
Smith has the best series of jumps and is one of two to have cleared 6'5 during the season.
Feezle has been consistent and has a pair of 6'4 jumps to his credit. DeFries only has four
jumps on record, but two of them are 6'4 and there is another 6'2. DeGraef is the other one
with a 6'5 jump, but his two best jumps came in mid-April and earlier. Logan also has a pair
of 6'4 jumps. Martin is the only other one with a pair of 6'2 jumps.

P Vault	1. Tristan Slater	Capital
	2. Chris Cochran	Winfield
	3. Christian Smith	Winfield
	4. Nick Molina Cabell Midland
	5. Zane Griffith	Ripley
	6. Adrian Baker	Washington
Slater is clearly the top dog in the field. He's the only one to have been higher than 14'0
and he has at least five vaults over 15'0, including a 15'11.75 at the MSAC championships.
Cochran has a 14'0 vault and at least four other 13'6 vaults. No one else has cleared 13'6.
Smith has three 13'0 vaults including his last two meets. Molina had three 13'0 vaults
including his last 3 meets. Griffith has a 13'1 and three 13'0 vaults, but hasn't gone higher
than 12'6 in May. Baker cleared 13'0 at his Regional, but that's his only time higher than
12'0. There are three guys with a pair of 12'6 vaults that want that spot also.

L Jump	1. Martinez Grant	Jefferson
	2. Garrett DeFries	Hurricane
	3. Anthony Bibbs	Parkersburg South
	4. Jaylen Carson	Martinsburg
	5. Kelshawn Grant	Woodrow Wilson
	6. Daniel Fox Parkersburg
Grant has at least five jumps better than anyone else's best. He's topped 23'0 once and 22'
four times. DeFries only has four jumps on record, but they're all at least 20'7. Bibbs
has a pair of 21' jumps. Carson has topped 21' and has two others over 20'. Grant only has
three jumps on record, but they're all at least 20'2. Fox has four 20' jumps. 11 jumpers
have gone past 20' on the season. 8 of them have done it more than once.

Shot	1. Nick Peyette	George Washington
	2. Dylon Rippeto	Parkersburg South
	3. Tannor Hill Point Pleasant
	4. Trevor Patton	George Washington
	5. Bo Long Hampshire
	6. Cody Rine Brooke
Peyette and Rippeto has the only 50'0 tosses in the field, and they've each done it twice.
Peyette has the better throw by 1.5" and has a better overall series. Hill has three throws
better than anyone else's best and just missed the 50' mark at his Regional. Patton has a 47'
and a 46' throw. Long only has the 7th best top throw but is one of just four in the field
with three 45' throws. Rine has topped 45' twice.

Discus	1. Dylon Rippeto	Parkersburg South
	2. Tannor Hill Point Pleasant
	3. Cody Mitchell	Point Pleasant
	4. Jacob Lomax St. Albans
	5. Troy Lilly Woodrow Wilson
	6. Theo Blackston	Wheeling Park
Rippeto has three throws over 160' and three that are better than anyone else's best. Hill is
the only other one in the field to have multiple 150' throws, and he has 3 of them. Mitchell
is the only one besides Rippeto to surpass 160' and had the top Regional performance. Lomax is
the only other one with three 140' throws. Lilly and Blackston are the only other ones with a
pair of 140' tosses.

5. Dustin Martin	Lewis 19
