Class AA Girls Individual Event Predictions

100 M	1. Bria Welker Frankfort
	2. Alex Burch Oak Glen
	3. Kayla Haywood	Bridgeport
	4. Alexandria Allen	Liberty Harrison
	5. Emilee Henry	Herbert Hoover
	6. Nicole Licata	East Fairmont
Welker has the only runs under 12.70 and she has 4 of them. Haywood actually has a
better top time than Burch and a better series, but Burch seems to really step
forward at the State Meet. Allen is the only other one to have been under 13
seconds. The other two have been under 13.10.

200 M	1. Bria Welker Frankfort
	2. Alex Burch Oak Glen
	3. Kaitlyn Conaway	North Marion
	4. Emilee Henry	Herbert Hoover
	5. Sharia Hernandez	Keyser
	6. Madison Cunningham	Lincoln
Welker has 5 runs under 26.30. No one else has been under 26.50. Burch again gets
the benefit of being Burch. Conaway has the 2nd best time and 2nd best series of the
group. Cunningham has upside, but a mid-season injury has kept her from being where
she would normally be.

400 M	1. Bria Welker Frankfort
	2. Alex Burch Oak Glen
	3. Madison Cunningham	Lincoln
	4. Hailey Miller	Ravenswood
	5. Megan Collins	Oak Glen
	6. Emilee Henry	Herbert Hoover
Welker and Burch have been under 59 seconds twice. Burch has been under 60 seconds
three times. Welker is the defending champion and State Meet Record Holder. Only
Cunningham has gone under 61 among the rest of the field. 8 have been under 62.

800 M	1. Katie Jan Frankfort
	2. Emma Harrison	North Marion
	3. Samantha Stout	Webster
	4. Kelsey Chambers	Oak Glen
	5. Samantha Graffius	Scott
	6. Danielle Haynes	Berkeley Springs
Jan is over 5 seconds ahead of anyone else. She should dominate. Stout and Harrison
are pretty close. Harrison has the two better top-end times, and Stout has a better
series overall. Harrison just won the Regional Matchup, so she gets the nod.
Chambers is the only other one to have gone under 2:30. 4 others have run under
2:32.

1600 M	1. Katie Jan Frankfort
	2. Alexis Virtue	Weir
	3. Kelsey Chambers	Oak Glen
	4. Emma Harrison	North Marion
	5. Kristen Mastrantoni	Weir
	6. Morganne Phillips	Bridgeport
Jan has a 5:10 and a 5:17 to her credit. She's also the defending champion. No one
else has been under 5:20. The next three are pretty tightly matched. Chambers has
the best top time. Virtue had the best Regional run. Harrison has the best overall
series. I think they could go in any order. Only 7 in the field have been under
5:40.

3200 M	1. Katie Jan Frankfort
	2. Emma Harrison	North Marion
	3. Kelsey Chambers	Oak Glen
	4. Kristen Mastrantoni	Weir
	5. Brianna Waybright	Philip Barbour
	6. Morganne Phillips	Bridgeport
Jan doesn't have the best time in the field, but that was the case last year as well
and she did just fine that way. I think she's got the speed and endurance to win it.
Harrison has a couple excellent runs under her belt, though, and Jan's task is a bit
more difficult than it was last year. 6 have gone under 12:00. Three have gone
under 11:50. 5 have been under 12:00 on multiple occasions, but only 2 have done it
three times or more.

100 HH	1. Emily Smith Summers
	2. Allison Evans	Keyser
	3. Autumn Tyree	Nicholas
	4. Yanapoli Fofanah	Bridgeport
	5. Elizabeth Messer	Nicholas
	6. Brianna Woodburn	Fairmont Senior
Smith has the only sub-16 runs in the group. Evans has easily the next best series.
Only 5 have run under 17 seconds this year. Only 3 have run under 17 seconds three
times or more.

300 LH	1. Bria Welker Frankfort
	2. Natalia Parker	Fairmont Senior
	3. Madison Cunningham	Lincoln
	4. Sharia Hernandez	Keyser
	5. Erin Brown Webster
	6. Haylie Damron	Scott
Welker has the top time in the field and is the only one to have more than one run
under 48 seconds. She has 3. Parker has 3 runs under 49 seconds. Cunningham is
the defending champion and could win it again with a strong run. Again, a mid-season
injury has kept her from being where she would be. Hernandez knocked off Welker in
an early May meet, but then barely made the fast heat for this race. 9 have been
under 50 seconds.

4x100 M	1. Frankfort
	2. Bridgeport
	3. North Marion
	4. East Fairmont
	5. Liberty Harrison
	6. Weir
The top 4 teams have best times that are just 0.08 apart. Frankfort has the top time
and did it at the Regional, so they get the nod. The top 4 are the only ones to have
been under 53 seconds. 5 others have been at 53.50 or better.

4x200 M	1. North Marion
	2. Keyser
	3. Frankfort
	4. Oak Glen
	5. East Fairmont
	6. Weir
No on has been under 1:51. The first three are separated by just 0.11 seconds. Only
Oak Glen and East Fairmont of the rest have been under 1:52. Weir is the only other
team under 1:54.

4x400 M	1. Oak Glen
	2. Frankfort
	3. Weir
	4. North Marion
	5. Berkeley Springs
	6. Webster
Oak Glen is the team to beat. I can see a 4:07 out of them pretty easily. I think
Frankfort will drop McKenna Miller from the open 200 and put her here. I think that
move jumps them into 2nd. Berkeley Springs gets a spot based on my assumption that
they'll pull Danielle Haynes from the 3200 and run her here.

4x800 M	1. Oak Glen
	2. Weir
	3. Bridgeport
	4. Webster
	5. Keyser
	6. Philip Barbour
It should be a battle between Oak Glen and Weir. Weir won the Regional battle. Oak
Glen won the conference battle. I have Oak Glen coming out slightly ahead, but it
could definitely go either way. Bridgeport can probably get to around 10:10. Even
though they haven't shown it, I think Webster can run 10:15. Keyser, Philip Barbour,
and Berkeley Springs battle for 5th. Don't completely discout Scott or Wayne either.

Shuttle	1. Nicholas
	2. Keyser
	3. Oak Glen
	4. Webster
	5. Bridgeport
	6. Fairmont Senior
Nicholas has the only run under 1:08. They're the only team with two runs under
1:09. They had the fastest regional run. Keyser is the only other team with
multiple runs under 1:10. Oak Glen and Webster are the only other teams who have
broken 1:10. 11 teams are under 1:12.

H Jump	1. Sarah Haynes	Berkeley Springs
	2. Shania Riffle	Fairmont Senior
	3. Kaleena Crane	Oak Glen
	4. Ciarra Romine	Robert C. Byrd
	5. Caity Hudnall	Roane
	6. Anna Cokeley Ritchie
Haynes and Riffle are the only ones with a pair of 5'2 jumps, and Haynes is the
defending champion. Crane is the only one with a complete 5'0 series. Romine is
the only other one outside those three who has cleared 5'2. 6 have cleared 5'0.
Only 8 in the field have cleared 4'10.

P Vault	1. Allison Evans	Keyser
	2. Celena Bryant	Bridgeport
	3. Shania Lloyd	Roane
	4. Sarah Haynes	Berkeley Springs
	5. Skyla Haught	North Marion
	6. Caroline Lloyd	Bridgeport
There are only six vaulters in the field. If the WVSSAC sticks to its 7'0 opening
height, we might not fill all the places. Evans is the only one with multiple 8'6
vaults and has a top mark of 8'9. Bryant is the only other one to clear 8'6 and is
the only other one with multiple 8'0 clearances. Only 4 have cleared 8'0.

L Jump	1. Alexandria Allen	Liberty Harrison
	2. Autumn Tyree	Nicholas
	3. Mykala Garrett	Ritchie
	4. Kayla Haywood	Bridgeport
	5. Haylie Damron	Scott
	6. Emily Smith Summers
Allen has 5 leaps over 16'0 as does Garrett. Tyree has 3 of them. Haywood is one
of just 3 with a 17'0 jump. Damron just jumped 16'7 3/4 at the Regional at Laidley.
Smith placed 3rd last year. 5 in the field have topped 16'0. 7 have topped 15'6.

Shot	1. Raina Young Bridgeport
	2. Kendra Johnson	Keyser
	3. Mikayla Little	Ritchie
	4. Emily McClain	Roane
	5. Reilly Gunter	Lincoln
	6. Lexy Beckett	Wayne
Young is the only one to have topped 35', and she's done it three times. Johnson is
the only other one to have hit 34', and she's done it twice, including at the
Regional where she knocked off Young. Little has topped 33' in each of her last two
meets. McCalin has three 33' throws. 6 have thrown at least 33'. 11 have thrown
at least 32'.

Discus	1. Mikayla Little	Ritchie
	2. Kendra Johnson	Keyser
	3. Lexy Beckett	Wayne
	4. Emily Griffith	Bridgeport
	5. Hannah McCall	Bridgeport
	6. Emmy Delekta	Oak Glen
Little has the only full series of 100' throws and has the top throw in the field.
Johnson has a pair of throws over 105'. Becket is the only other one with a pair of
100' throws. Only 4 have hit 100'. 10 have surpassed 90'.
