Class AA Boys Individual Event Predictions

100 M	1. Blake Ravenscroft	Keyser
	2. Kade Sebastian	Wayne
	3. Jonathan Rice	Weir
	4. Steven McGinnis	Roane
	5. Clarence Bennett	Weir
	6. Alex Lee Mingo Central
What a mess. The top three have top times within 0.02 of each other and all three
have a trio of runs better than 11.51 but nothing better than 11.42. Only 6 in the
field have been under 11.70, but 12 have been under 11.80.

200 M	1. Blake Ravenscroft	Keyser
	2. Nathan Bernarde	Grafton
	3. Andrew Workman	Chapmanville
	4. Cole Slates Weir
	5. Clarence Bennett	Weir
	6. Alex Lee Mingo Central.
This is another mess. Only three have broekn 23.30. Only two have broken 23.40
twice. 9 have been under 23.55. 6 have been under 23.40.

400 M	1. Troy Fisher Roane
	2. Jessie Hilvers	Ritchie
	3. John Powell Independence
	4. Hunter Klein	PikeView
	5. Cole Slates Weir
	6. Devon Jones Ritchie
Fisher has the top time and is the only one with more than one run under 52 seconds,
and he has at least 5 of them. Only three have been under 52 seconds. 12 have been
under 53 seconds, so things should be pretty tight.

800 M	1. Will Shaffer	Scott
	2. Corey Shetler	Berkeley Springs
	3. Nick Trefz Fairmont Senior
	4. Abe Merinar Bridgeport
	5. Jessie Hilvers	Ritchie
	6. Troy Fisher Roane
I think any of these guys could win this. Shaffer is the only one that has actually
broke 2:00 this year, so I gave him the nod. Shetler will be the only one of the
front four that didn't kill himself in the 1600 earlier. I think there's a chance
that Hilvers won't run it. He could be pulled to load the Shuttles or the 4x800.
Fisher might be the most likely to pull a 1:57.

1600 M	1. Nick Trefz Fairmont Senior
	2. Will Shaffer	Scott
	3. Abe Merinar Bridgeport
	4. Johnny Hogue	Ritchie
	5. Lucas Young Frankfort
	6. Matthew Dearth	Bridgeport
I think any of the front 3 could win it. Merinar has the best time fo the group.
Shaffer just soloed a 4:24 in early May. Hogue has run under 4:30. Trefz hasn't
run under 4:30, but if my memory serves me correctly, he ran a 4:26 indoor 1600 in
January or February and always seems to perform well on the big stage. The battle
for 5th sees 6 guys that have been between 4:38 and 4:42.

3200 M	1. Nick Trefz Fairmont Senior
	2. Abe Merinar Bridgeport
	3. Will Shaffer	Scott
	4. Johnny Hogue	Ritchie
	5. Matthew Dearth	Bridgeport
	6. Tony Hayes East Fairmont
The front 3 put on a nice show at the Gazette Relays, and I anticipate a similar show
this weekend. I kept them in their finish order from that race. Those three have
all run under 9:35. No one else is under 9:45. 6 in the field have been under
10:00. 11 have been 10:10 or better.

110 HH	1. Nathan Bernarde	Grafton
	2. Neil Scherich	Fairmont Senior
	3. Tai Morgan Bridgeport
	4. Jayden Allender	Ritchie
	5. Tyler Lee Roane
	6. Levi Cyphers	North Marion
Bernarde is the defending champion and has the only sub-15 run in the field.
Scherich has 3 runs under 15.50 with two of those coming at the Regional. Morgan
has 4 runs under 16 seconds while no one else remaning has more than 1. However,
his 5 best times all came April 20th or earlier. 5 have been under 16 seconds.
9 have been under 16.50.

300 IH	1. Nathan Bernarde	Grafton
	2. Jessie Hilvers	Ritchie
	3. Jayden Allender	Ritchie
	4. Joe Collins Webster
	5. Josh Gurski Herbert Hoover
	6. Guy Cowger Webster
Bernarde has the only sub-40 run in the group and is the defending champion. Hilvers
is the defending runner-up and has the only other runs under 41 seconds. 4 more have
been under 41.55. Gurski only has 1 run to his credit, that being his 41.28 Regional
run. He could go under 40 or run a 43 next time out. It's hard to say. Cowger
isn't one of those that have been under 41.55, but he does have a pair under 43,
which two of that group can't say.

4x100 M	1. Oak Glen
	2. Robert C. Byrd]
	3. Weir
	4. Keyser
	5. Bluefield
	6. Ritchie
Robert C. Byrd has the only sub-45 run in the group, but that's the only time they've
gone under 46. Oak Glen has been more consistently fast, so I gave them the nod.
Keyser will have to do their damage from the 1st heat, which could cost them.
Ritchie could conceivably drop one of Devon Jones' open runs and move him onto this
unit and move up a place or two.

4x200 M	1. Roane
	2. Robert C. Byrd
	3. Keyser
	4. Bluefield
	5. Weir
	6. Ritchie
Roane is the only team that has been under 1:34. RCB just missed that mark at the
Regional Meet. RCB had the best Regional run. Keyser is the only other team to
have been under 1:35. 7 have been 1:35.50 or better, though.

4x400 M	1. Roane
	2. Webster
	3. Ritchie
	4. Keyser
	5. Bridgeport
	6. East Fairmont
This should be a very close race, and it could be the meet decider. I have five
teams that are about the same based on perceived potential. One of those is East
Fairmont, who I think could actually win the thing, but they'll have to do it from
the 1st heat which adds a degree of difficulty.

4x800 M	1. Bridgeport
	2. Fairmont Senior
	3. Keyser
	4. Oak Glen
	5. East Fairmont
	6. PikeView
I have the top 3 all coming through in 8:25 or 8:26, so I think it could go any which
way. I think anyone outside those three winning would be a big surprise. Ritchie
could factor into the top 5 if they move Hilvers onto this relay, but I don't think
that's what will happen.

Shuttle	1. Roane
	2. Oak Glen
	3. Ritchie
	4. Webster
	5. Bridgeport
	6. Keyser
Roane is the only team to have been under 61 seconds. They done that twice. 3 other
teams have been under 62 seconds. None have done it twice. Ritchie could move
Hilvers here and possibly win it, but I think they'll leave him in the 800.

H Jump	1. Jayden Allender	Ritchie
	2. Luther Stoots	Webster
	3. Grant Hardman	Roane
	4. Nathan Bernarde	Grafton
	5. Brett Morris	Webster
	6. Rasheed Lowe	James Monroe
Allender and Stoots have cleared 6'4. Allender is the only one with a whole series
of 6'2 or better jumps. Stoots got his 6'4 at the Regional, beating Allender in the
process. No one else has been higher than 6'0. Only Hardman and Bernarde have
cleared 6'0 more than one. Only 5 in the field have cleared 6'0 at all.

P Vault	1. Kyle Raines Roane
	2. Austin Garrett	Ritchie
	3. Matt Arrowood	Berkeley Springs
	4. Bryan Dennison	Braxton
	5. Caleb Pell Roane
	6. Garrett Crites	Keyser
Raines is the only one in the field to have gone higher than 13'0. He's also the
only one with multiple 13'0 vaults, and he has 4 of them. Garrett is the only other
one to have cleared 13'0. 4 have cleared 12'0. 6 have cleared 11'0.

L Jump	1. Josh Weltner	Oak Glen
	2. TaRon Ayers Summers
	3. Micah Swiger	Oak Glen
	4. Derek Branka	Philip Barbour
	5. Johnathan Rice	Weir
	6. Tanner Henderson	Bridgeport
Weltner is the only one in the field to have a 20' jump this year, and he's topped
21' three times. 12 in the field have been over 19'0, so after Weltner, it's really
wide open.

Shot	1. Christian Buckley	Poca
	2. Christian Mease	Bridgeport
	3. James Adkins	Westside
	4. Stephen Wells	Fairmont Senior
	5. Daquan Hilson	Fairmont Senior
	6. Alec Moscufo	North Marion
Buckley is the only one to have thrown over 48', and he has 4 throws over 49'. Mease
is the only other one to have topped 47' and the only other one with more than one
throw over 46'. There are only five guys in the field that have thrown 44' more
than once.

Discus	1. Christian Buckley	Poca
	2. Tyler Hamilton	Keyser
	3. Quentin Buckley	Poca
	4. Christian Mease	Bridgeport
	5. Zack Staley Oak Glen
	6. Neil Scherich	Fairmont Senior
Buckley is the only one to have thrown 150', and he's topped 155' at least 5 times
and 160' once. Hamilton and Buckley are the only other ones with multiple throws
over 140'. 11 in the field have thrown 130'.
