Individual Predictions

100 M	1. Kirsten Mullins	Charleston Catholic
	2. Jackie Riggleman	Moorefield
	3. Chandra Church	Meadow Bridge
	4. Brittany Wilson	St. Marys
	5. Adrienne Nottingham	Pocahontas
	6. Gretchen Lantz	South Harrison
Mullins doesn't have to the top time or the best series, but she was 2nd last year and
is just now starting to return to form after battling injury most of the season. Riggleman
does have the best time and the best series, so it wouldn't be unreasonable to think she
could win it. Church has the next best top time and the next best series and looked very
good at the Gazette Relays. Wilson has the next best series and was 4th in the event
last year. Nottingham has only run the event a couple times but ran a couple solid times
at her regional. Lantz has a better series than Nottingham, but Nottingham did beat her
at the Regional. Valley Fayette's Bobbi Dyers and Paden City's Amanda Sellers are definite
threats to place.

200 M	1. Kirstin Mullins	Charleston Catholic
	2. Adrienne Nottingham	Pocahontas
	3. Lydia Powell	St. Marys
	4. Jackie Riggleman	Moorefield
	5. Gretchen Lantz	South Harrison
	6. Kayla Mitchell	Doddridge
Mullins doesn't have the top time, but she does have the best series and won the event last
year. Nottingham has the best top time, but she'll also have just run the 800, which could
drain her a bit. In her regional, she was only 3rd coming off the 800. She'll have more
rest at the State Meet. Powell ran two very solid times at her regional. Riggleman
has a slightly better overall series than Powell, but Powell's two regional efforts were
slightly better than Riggleman's. Lantz also beat Nottingham at the Regional and has the
only remaining sub-28 time in the field. Mitchell easily has the next best top time and
the next best series, and she's placed in the event the last two years.

400 M	1. Adrienne Nottingham Pocahontas
	2. Lydia Powell St. Marys
	3. Gretchen Lantz South Harrison
	4. Kaitlyn Nichols Williamstown
	5. Kylee Boring Doddridge
	6. Abbey Smith Madonna
Nottingham has the top time by nearly a second and a half, and she has four runs better
than anyone else's best. Powell is the only other runner in the field to have gone under
63 seconds more than once. Lantz has a better top time than Powell and seems to get a
little better each time out. Nichols ran very well at her regional and is the only other
runner to have gone under 64 seconds. Boring has a pair of runs in the 64's and could
move up. Smith has a 64 second run, but her second best time is only a high 66. She'll
also have to run in the 1st heat. Richwood's Laura Spencer, Charleston Catholic's Morgan
Deer, and St. Marys' Katie Taylor will try to sneak in for a spot.

800 M	1. Jennifer McFarland	St. Marys
	2. Kelly Mortakis	Wheeling Central
	3. Adrienne Nottingham	Pocahontas
	4. Amanda Johns	Charleston Catholic
	5. Kylee Boring	Doddridge
	6. Claire Caruso	Wheeling Central
McFarland has the top time and two runs under 2:33, and she placed 4th last year. Mortakis
has also run a 2:31, but her second best run is a 2:35. She does have the overall best
series of times. Nottingham has four runs under 2:39 and is still figuring the event out.
She has great finishing speed if she needs to use it. Johns clocked a 2:32 at her regional
which is the 3rd best time in the field, but her second best run is a 2:39. Boring has
three runs under 2:40, including a 2:35. Caruso has a pair under 2:40 and has a slightly
better top time than Boring. Others to watch for include Doddridge's Elizabeth Dean, who
has only run the open one time this year, but it was at the regional where she beat both
Nottingham and Boring, and Charleston Catholic's Donnovan Reed who ran a 2:34 at her
regional, but has no other runs under 2:40.

1600 M	1. Jennifer McFarland	St. Marys
	2. Claire Caruso	Wheeling Central
	3. Emily Coffman	Doddridge
	4. Jessie John Wheeling Central
	5. Nora Sheridan	Charleston Catholic
	6. Jamie Barr Doddridge
McFarland doesn't have the best time, but she does have three runs under 5:50 and was a
second place finisher last year. Caruso has the top time, just over a second ahead of
McFarland, and has four runs under 5:54. Coffman has the next best time and was a 4th
place finisher a year ago. John has the next best time and a top three series very similar
to that of Coffman. Sheridan and Barr are the only other two to have run under 6:00 this
year. Sheridan has done it twice. Barr did it at her regional. There are five other
girls who have run between 6:00 and 6:10.

3200 M	1. Jennifer McFarland	St. Marys
	2. Jessie John Wheeling Central
	3. Emily Coffman	Doddridge
	4. Brittney Hoyer	Charleston Catholic
	5. Nora Sheridan	Charleston Catholic
	6. Krista Schaffer	Williamstown
McFarland has the best time in the group and is the only one to have run under 13:00 more
than once. Johnson has the second best top time, but her second best time is 26 seconds
slower. Coffman has the third best top time, but her second best time is 30 seconds slower.
Hoyer has the 5th best top time and she ran faster at her regional than anyone except
McFarland, but her 2nd best time is also 30 seconds slower than her best. Sheridan has
a pair of runs under 13:20. Schaffer has a run under 13:00, but that was in mid-April
and she hasn't been close to that since. Her 2nd best time is 25 seconds off that.
Also threatening to place will be Doddridge's Adalia Trudgeon and East Hardy's Karen
Leatherman.

100 HH	1. Olivia Lambert	South Harrison
	2. Lacey Hampton	Bishop Donahue
	3. Amanda Sellers	Paden City
	4. Keeper Gray Williamstown
	5. Bianca Biondillo	Madonna
	6. Caitlyn McQuain	Greenbrier West
Lambert is the best top time, the best series, and is the State Record Holder. Hampton
easily has the 2nd best series. Sellers is the only other runner to have been under
17 seconds, and she's done it twice. Gray has been goming on late and has the next best
series. Biondillo has the same top time as Gray, but has not been quite as consistent.
McQuain has a better top time than Gray or Biondillo, but her series isn't nearly as strong.
also look out for St. Marys' Malee McGill, Doddridge's Hannah Hutson (placed last year)
and Meadow Bridge's Tanyetta Bragg.

300 LH	1. Olivia Lambert	South Harrison
	2. Amanda Sellers	Paden City
	3. Laura Spencer	Richwood
	4. McKenzie Clark	Moorefield
	5. Kayla Mitchell	Doddridge
	6. Hannah Hutson	Doddridge
Lambert has three runs under 50 seconds, has the top time, and was 2nd in the event last
year. Sellers has two runs under 50 seconds and three others better than anyone else's
best and place 3rd in the event last year. Spencer has the next best series with a 50.66
and four other runs under 52 seconds. Clark has a pair of runs under 51 seconds. Mitchell
has a sub-51 and two other runs under 52 seconds and was just 0.04 off Clark at the
Regional. Hutson has the 3rd best top time in the field and beat Mitchell and Clark at the
Regional, but her 2nd best time is in the 52's. Also look out for Williamstown's
Madison Postlewait, Valley wetzel's Lesta Kocher, and Meadow Bridge's Tanyetta Bragg.

4x100 M	1. Charleston Catholic
	2. Williamstown
	3. Moorefield
	4. Gilmer
	5. Wheeling Central
	6. Doddridge
Charleston Catholic can put together the strongest unit. Williamstown is the only team
to have run under 55 twice and has the best series. Moorefield has the best top time
but didn't run under 56 at their regional. Gilmer had the second best regional performance
and has three very solid times in their last three meets. Wheeling Central has a pair of
runs under 56 seconds. Doddridge has run under 56 seconds in their last two meets and
beat Moorefield at the regional. Madonna, Meadow Bridge, and Richwood could be factors.

4x200 M	1. Doddridge
	2. Charleston Catholic
	3. Williamstown
	4. St. Marys
	5. Gilmer
	6. Wheeling Central
Doddridge has two runs better than anyone else's best and is the only team with multiple
runs under 1:54, which they've done three times. They have the best overall series by far.
Charleston Catholic is the only other team to have been under 1:54. Williamstown beat
Charleston Catholic at the regional meet and has been under 1:55 twice. St. Marys only has
the 7th best time, but with the disqualification of their 4x100 unit at the regional, it
opens up an event for a couple runners, who I think will end up here. They could finish
higher. Gilmer has the only other time under 1:56 in the field. Wheeling Central is the
only other team to have run under 1:58. Williamson and Moorefield have been under 1:59.

4x400 M	1. St. Marys
	2. Charleston Catholic
	3. Doddridge
	4. Williamstown
	5. Wheeling Central
	6. Richwood
St. Marys is five seconds faster than anyone else. I don't thin anyone else can match them.
They look like they could go around 4:18 if pressed. Charleston Catholic can probably hit
4:24 or so. I think Doddridge can go under 4:25. Williamstown just might be able to
squeeze by both teams as I think they can put together a unit that hits the same range.
Wheeling Central might be able to go under 4:30. Those five teams have times already that
are 7 seconds ahead of the rest of the field. Richwood is the favorite in the battle
for 6th between four teams that have run under 4:45.

4x800 M	1. Wheeling Central
	2. Charleston Catholic
	3. Doddridge
	4. Williamstown
	5. Pendleton
	6. Tucker
Wheeling Central's top time is 12 seconds ahead of the field. I think they can go a little
faster. Charleston Catholic can put together a unit that can run in the low 10:20's as
can Doddridge. Doddridge has been faster, but Charleston Catholic looks like they might
have the horses to take that spot with the emergence of Amanda Johns as a 2:32 runner. It
should be a battle between those three teams. Williamstown can put together a group that
can run 10:45 or better, but I don't think they can reach the other three. Pendleton and
Tucker are th eotnly other teams to have run under 11:30.

Shuttle	1. South Harrison
	2. Williamstown
	3. Doddridge
	4. St. Marys
	5. Madonna
	6. Charleston Catholic
South Harrison has three runs better than anyone else's best. Their top time is 0.7 seconds
ahead of the field. Williamstown has easily the 2nd best overall time and the 2nd best
regional performance. Doddridge has the 3rd best overall time and the 3rd best regional
performance. St. Marys has the 3rd best series in the field and ran well at their regional.
Madonna has a slightly better top time than St. Marys but not as strong of an overall series
or as good of a regional time. Charelston Catholic has a pair of runs under 1:14, the only
other team in the field that can make that claim. Gilmer, Wheeling Central, and Tucker
will make runs at placing.

L Jump	1. Catherine Butcher	Gilmer
	2. Gretchen Lantz	South Harrison
	3. Megan Roberts	Williamstown
	4. Sasha Newson	Paden City
	5. Amanda Sellers	Paden City
	6. Nikki Cutright	Tygarts Valley
Butcher is the only one in the field to have a 16' jump, and she's done it twice. She's the
only one in the field to have more than three 15' jumps, and she has five of them. Lantz
has a pair of 15'6 jumps to her credit. No one else has any. Roberts has a pair of jumps
over 15'4. Newson is the one who has the three 15' jumps. Her top jump only puts her
7th, but her consistency is important, and she did win the event a year ago. Sellers has
a pair of 15' jumps. Cutright has a 15'4 jump and two others of at least 14'10. Also
look out for Williamstown's Kaitlyn Nichols, Gilmer's Lindsay Hern, and Valley Fayette's
Amnee Evans, who have each jumped 15'0 on the season.

H Jump	1. Ciara Riggleman	Tygarts Valley
	2. Lacey Hampton	Bishop Donahue
	3. Beth Ann Moyers	Gilmer
	4. Catherine Butcher	Gilmer
	5. Carrie Kitzmiller	Union
	6. Erica Smith Doddridge
Riggleman is the only one to have cleared 5'0 twice, and she did accomplish that height
at her regional, and she won the event last year. Hampton is the only other jumper to
have cleared 5'0, and she has a pair of 4'10 jumps to go along with it. Moyers is the
only other jumper to have cleared 4'10 more than once. Butcher has a 4'11 jump, but
nothing else over 4'8, but she has at least four of those. Kitzmiller has a 4'10 and
three 4'8 jumps. Smith has a 4'10 and a 4'8. Her 4'10 did occur at her regional meet,
where she beat Kitzmiller, so she could move up. Richwood's Morgan Mullens also cleared
4'10 and also did it at her regional, so she's a very legitimate threat as well.

Shot	1. Cindy Hillberry	Mount Hope
	2. Tiffany Sigler	St. Marys
	3. Angelica King	East Hardy
	4. Elizabeth Davis	Charleston Catholic
	5. Autumn Chidester	Williamstown
	6. Ammnee Evans	Valley Fayette
Hillberry is dominant. She has the only 40' throw in the bunch. Her 5th best throw is over
two feet further than anyone else's best. Sigler has the next best series and the next best
top throw. She has three throws over 34', and no one else has more than one. King threw
34'9 at her regional meet. That was her best throw by over 3', but she did finish 4th last
year. Davis has a better series than King with a pair throws over 33' and two more over 32'.
Chidester has the only other 33' throw in the bunch and has a 32' and three 31's to go with
it. Evans has a pair of throws over 31' as does Williamstown's Ali Flowers. Leanne Watson
of Clay Battelle and Union's Julia Streets also look to score.

Discus	1. Cindy Hillberry	Mount Hope
	2. Joanna Dempsey	South Harrison
	3. Ali Flowers Williamstown
	4. Elizabeth Davis	Charleston Catholic
	5. Tiffany Sigler	St. Marys
	6. Courtney Gabbert	Williamstown
Hillberry is dominant here as well. She has the top throw by over 15'. She's the only
one with more than one 100' throw. Her 5th best throw is over a foot further than anyone
else's best. Dempsey is one of two remaining throwers who have thrown over 100'. She
doesn't have the next best throw, but her series is better than Flowers. Flowers has thrown
103'3, but here second best throw is only 97'7, which Dempsey has topped three times.
Davis has four throws over 95' and could move up. No one else has thrown more than 94'.
Sigler hsa two throws over 90' as does Gabbert, but Sigler's two throws are better than
Gabbert's two throws. No one else has thrown more than 90'. Pendleton's Jacqueline Wright
and Doddridge's Megan Dotson will be trying to squeeze in for a place.

P Vault	1. Kate Billups	Williamstown
	2. Madison Postlewaite	Williamstown
	3. Emily Lewis Buffalo
	4. KayCee Hill Doddridge
	5. Emily Sherrard	Charleston Catholic
	6. Chesare' Spadaro	Mount Hope
Billups has a pair of 9'6 vaults and at least three 9'0 vaults to go with them. Postlewaite
has five vaults of 9'0. No one else has been higher than 8'0. Lewis has three 8'0 vaults
but none since April 12th. Hill has an 8'0 vault and at least four vaults of 7'6.
Sherrard has an 8'0 vault and a pair of 7'6 vaults. Spadaro has an 8'0 vault and three
7'0 vaults. Doddridge's Stephanie Myer could factor into the scoring as she has a pair of
7'6 vaults and three 7'0 vaults.

2. Adrienne Nottingham	Pocahontas 26
3. Kirstin Mullins	Charleston Catholic	24.50
4. Olivia Lambert	South Harrison 22.50
5. Cindy Hillberry	Mount Hope 20
