Note: These predictions were made on the assumption that the runners who performed in the Regional Meets will be the same ones who perform at the State Meet. Coaches, if your State Meet lineup is going to be different than your Regional Meet lineup, please let us know so we can adjust our Predictions accordingly. Example 1: If you only ran six runners at Regionals, such as Magnolia's Boys Team, but will be running seven at the State Meet, please let us know who that seventh runner will be. Example 2: Joe and Jenny Shmoe were sick on the day of Regionals and did not run, but they will be running at the State Meet, please let us know that they will be running and who they are replacing. We thank you for your help in preparing our State Meet Predictions. Predicted Girls A-AA State Meet Results Predicted Girls A-AA Team Scores 1. Doddridge DODD 37 2. Charleston Catholic CC 40 3. The only defeats that Tusing has suffered (to our knowledge) have been to the Davis girls of Hampshire. The nod goes to Taylor. She soundly defeated all comers in her region and dominated the State Meet last year against many of the same competitors. In the team competition, you could see the best fight of the day. Charleston Catholic and Doddridge both have amazingly strong teams from top to bottom. There is no clear front runner in this matchup, so your guess is as good as mine. The real shame in this event is that two of the four best teams in the state don't even get to participate in the State Meet. On any given day Grafton could win this meet, and Williamstown is the defending State Champion. However, neither gets to participate this year because only one team got to advance from Region II (that being Doddridge). This happened last year as well when Doddridge and Grafton finished 2nd and 3rd in Region II, respectively, leaving two of the three best teams in the state at home. Something needs to be done about that.
