Note: These predictions were made on the assumption that the runners who performed in the Regional Meets will be the same ones who perform at the State Meet. Coaches, if your State Meet lineup is going to be different than your Regional Meet lineup, please let us know so we can adjust our Predictions accordingly. Example 1: If you only ran six runners at Regionals, such as Magnolia's Boys Team, but will be running seven at the State Meet, please let us know who that seventh runner will be. Example 2: Joe and Jenny Shmoe were sick on the day of Regionals and did not run, but they will be running at the State Meet, please let us know that they will be running and who they are replacing. We thank you for your help in preparing our State Meet Predictions. Predicted Girls AAA State Meet Results Predicted Girls AAA Team Scores 1. Fairmont Senior FS 58 2. Elkins ELK 64 3. Lisa Sappey Hedgesville Additonal Comments -- This, too, was a difficult choice. There are only two real contenders. Hunter, though my choice for first could drop to third. Both Susan and Jennifer Davis defeated her at the Fairmont Times Invitational. Hunter did defeat Susan Davis on the Williamstown course earlier this season and does have experience on her side. She's my pick to win, but Susan Davis breaking the tape would certainly come as no surprise. In the team competition, Fairmont Senior is the favorite, but both Elkins and Morgantown have defeated them this season. Cabell Midland has outstanding depth, so it would not be shocking if any of the first four teams were to win this meet. Jefferson, though little was reported to us throughout the season, appears strong also.
