The Following was sent to us from a Coach in the NCAC
Conference regarding a new policy for Next Season's NCAC
Meets. If you have participated in NCAC Meets in the
past, you need to read this.

At our Fall NCAC Coaches meeting at Buckhannon HS last night (9 Nov)
we had to vote to determine our All-Conference team, due to the unfortunate
auto accident that occur just prior to our conference meet. It has been
discussed at our conference meets the past few years about non-conference
teams participating in our weekly NCAC Wednesday meets. The problem has
been in the past that we schedule and meets for specific weeks year in and
year out. There has been an increase number of non-conference teams that
show up at our scheduled meets on wednesday and "usually" the host school
had no notification that they were coming. In the years past we have
always been "good hosts" and accommodated everyone that showed up. This
has been very unfair to those of us that work hard to set up a course, with
all the people it takes to pull off a meet. Ther are several coaches from
non-conference teams who just show up, take advantage of our organization
and never host thier own meets. Due to the large number of participants in
cross country we, the NCAC coaches, have decided that we will require the
Athletic director of non-conference schools to contact the AD of the host
school prior to the beginning of the "99" season and ask permission to come
to our NCAC meets. These requests will be handled on a first come first
serve basis at each school, as to the number of teams the host school will
allow to participate on their course. I would hope you can post this
information in your Coaches section, we will also be sending this
information to other non-conference schools via letter and at the Spring
Track & Field Coaches clinic.
