THE 23rd ANNUAL TIMES INVITATIONAL CROSS COUNTRY MEET

High School and Middle School Divisions

 

The Times Invitational Cross-Country meet will be held October 9, 2010 at Apple Valley Golf Course in Fairmont, WV.  We are once again looking forward to another exciting meet and would like to invite your team to participate!

 

The meet is sponsored by the TIMES-WEST VIRGINIAN and Fairmont Senior High School Cross-Country Teams.  The meet is WVSSAC sanctioned and under the guidelines of the National Federation of Track & Field and Cross-Country rules for boys and girls-2010. 

 

AWARDS

 High School-Trophies will be awarded to the Team Champion and Runner-up in both boy’s and girl’s varsity races.  The first 15 individuals in each varsity race will also receive awards.  There will be no awards in the J-V races. 

 Middle School- Trophies will be awarded for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams.   The first 20 individuals in each varsity race will also receive awards as will the top 7 boys and girls in the JV race.

 Refreshments will be provided for race participants. Complete results will be distributed during the awards ceremony and will be posted on www.runwv.com  and www.tristaterunnur.com . 

 

 COURSE                                                                                                                                             High School-The course is approximately 5000m consisting of some hills and is mostly grassy.  It is on a golf course.  There is about a 40m cart-path that is gravel.  The HS Varsity races will be run separately in both boy’s and girl’s competition.  Boy’s and Girl’s J-V is a combined race.                                                                                                                          Middle School-The course is approximately 3000m consisting of some hills and is all grass.  The MS Varsity races will be run separately in both boy’s and girl’s competition.  Boy’s and Girl’s J-V is a combined race.

 ENTRY FEE  The entry fee for the race is $35.00 per team or $60.00 for both boy’s and girl’s teams.  An admission charge of $4.00 for adults / $3.00 for students will be applied for anyone not transporting a team of five or more in one vehicle, in uniforms. Only WVSSAC and Fairmont Senior High School Courtesy passes will be honored. 

ENTRY METHOD All schools must enter their athletes using Hytek’s Team Manager Lite or TimeToEnter.com

If using Hy-tek TM Lite Please submit your entries via e-mail to  Dave Ricer at wfmsruns@hotmail.com .I will post an event file soon on www.runwv.com      These will be the only methods of entry for this meet.

RESERVATION:  

   Please contact and let us know if your team is coming or not by September 24th  so our Boosters can make comfortable arrangements. 

 

PARKING  Shuttle buses will run starting at 7:15 from Wal-Mart and will run throughout the meet.   Parking at the Apple Valley course will be limited to handicapped, coaches with equipment, and meet personnel. Busses will unload at the site and then return to the Whitehall Church of Christ.
