Brief Description:

The Foot Locker Cross Country Championships are a series of annual cross country running races held in various regions of the United States to determine the premier cross country runner in various age groups, but mainly serves to find the best prep (high school) cross country athlete in the country.

The Foot Locker Cross Country Championships South Regional is open to all U.S. high school students (male and female, grades 9–12) who will have not reached his/her 19th birthday before August 1, 2010. Runners compete in the races as unattached individuals. There will be seeded and unseeded races.

Seeded Races: high school boys and girls (grades 9–12) they will be 5000 meters.

Unseeded Races: Open and Masters Race they will run 5000 meters. The Open race is for any runner eighteen years old and over. The Masters Race is open to any runner forty years old and over. Freshman, sophmore, junior, and senior races for boys & girls they will run 5000 meters. Boys and girls 10 & under race they will run 3000 meters. Boys and girls 11-12 race they will run 3000 meters. Boys and girls 13-14 race will run 5000 meters.
