Coalfield Conference Meet/ Middle School-Beaver Run

The Shady Spring High School will be hosting the 2010 Coalfield Conference Cross Country Meet at Little Beaver State Park on October 12, 2010.   The course is set on the mountain top at the lake and runs through gravel roads, grassy fields and a short section of pavement.  Much of the course is visible to spectators and there are several grassy areas to sit and watch.  The high school Coalfield Conference Meet is limited to teams in the Coalfield Conference.  There will be a middle school race (Beaver Run) as well on the day of the  Coalfield Conference meet.

Times:    4:00                  Tour Course- All runners                 
4:30                  Boy’s and Girl’s Middle School – Girls start 15
                                       minutes after  boys or co-ed if limited number of runners.
(If middle school boy/girl teams run together, they will be scored separately)

5:15                   Girl’s High School Varsity  Race (unlimited number of runners)(5K)
5:50                   Boy’s High School Varsity Race (unlimited number of runners)(5K)

Awards:
Middle School – Beaver Run
Individuals:   Medals to top 10 runners in each gender division
Team Trophies – 1st Boys/2nd Boys and 1st Girsl/2nd Girls

High School
Individuals:   Plaques to top 10 runners “All Coalfield Conference” in each gender division.  Honorable mention medals to 11-20 runners in boys and girls divisions
Team Trophies – 1st Boys/2nd Boys and 1st Girsl/2nd Girls
T-Shirts will be available for purchase to all 20 “ALL CONFERENCE” runners (10 boys – 10 girls)

Entry Fee:  High Schools:  $60.00 per school or $35.00 per high school team.  Middle Schools:  $30.00 per school or $20.00 per middle school team.  Individuals:  $8.00 per individuals. Please make Check payable to;  Shady Spring High School Cross Country. All entries must be in by October 10.  You must pay before race day.
