Chick-fil-A Invitational

September 10, 2011

On behalf of Williamstown High School, Parkersburg High School, and Parkersburg South High School, we are extending an invitation for your school to be a part of the 11th annual Chick-Fil-A Invitational on September 10th, 2011.  The meet site is the Wood County 4-H Camp on Butcher Bend Road in Mineral Wells, West Virginia (See directions and details on back).

You can preorder T-shirts by visiting www.RunWV.com/shirt.pdf.

The course is run entirely on grass and is a combination of gently rolling hills and flat areas, which should provide for very good times.  The high school races will be 5,000 meters, the middle school races will be 3,000 meters, and the elementary races will be 1,500 meters.  There will be a small admission fee for spectators.  Change facilities and restrooms will be on site at the campgrounds.  Shower facilities will be available nearby.  There will be a large area for school tents and parking for at least 5,000 cars.  In the event of inclement weather, various buildings are available for cover for participants as well as spectators.  Exclusive Chick-Fil-A Invitational T-shirts will be on sale on site.  Hot and cold concessions will be available.  The awards’ ceremony will be on site, next to the start/finish area.

You must register online. Go to www.runwv.com and click on the Chick-fil-A logo for all of the details about how to register.  Entry fees for our meet are $35 for each team per high school and $20 for each team per middle school.  There is a $5 per runner fee for all other individuals.  Please make checks payable to: Chick-Fil-A Invitational and mail to On the Run, 2903 Emerson Avenue, Parkersburg, WV 26104.  The deadline for entry applications and fees is SEPTEMBER 2, 2011.  No entries after the deadline and no refunds.

TO ACCESS THE ONLINE ENTRY FORM, GO TO WWW.TRISTATERACER.COM/CHICKFILA

NOTICE:  Any school whose entry fees have not been received by the day of the race will not be allowed to participate.  “Checks in the mail” do not constitute received payment.

There will be a middle school junior varsity and varsity race.  Also, the junior varsity and varsity high-school runners will now run together in one race.  The schedule reflects these changes.
