APPALACHIAN MOUNTAIN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE

COURSE DESCTIPTION: A 5k course on mostly grass and wooded trails on the grounds of the middle and high school. The course starts on top of the hill at the middle school and finishes on the football field at the high school.

SCHEDULE:

2:00 Course opens

3:00 Coaches meeting (Shackelford Center)

4:00 Varsity Girls

4:45 Varsity Boys (approx. conclusion of previous race)

5:30 Combined JV (approx. conclusion of previous race)

TENTS: We are asking that all teams sit on the football field on the visitor’s side of the finish line. We are encouraging teams to use the length of the field to set up tents to promote an exciting and LOUD finish.

ENTRIES: Please send all team rosters by September 27, 2010. Submit your entries through www.athletic.net. Faxed or emailed rosters will not be accepted. If you’re not already an athletic.net user the instructions below will take you through the process. ADMISSION: Will be $3.00 per spectator collected at the entrance of the school.

ARRIVAL TIME: Hampshire High School dismisses @ 3:30. At 3:15 the local Deputy stops all traffic going onto our campus. It is EXTREAMLLY IMPORTANT that you stress to your parents that if they want to see the start of the first race that they arrive before 3:15. If they arrive after the traffic is stopped there is no guarantee that they will see a 4:00pm race.
