INVITATIONAL

Dear Fellow Coaches,

Elkins Middle School would like to invite your team(s) to our annual North Eastern Middle School Cross-Country Invitational this year. There will be NO high school meet so my goal is to get you and your team on the road by 12:30pm.

EVENT DATE:

(Saturday, September 26^th, 2009)

Our course will be 2.0 miles approximately. There will be one small hill at the start, one moderate hill after the 1^st ½ mile, two creek crossings and a flat level finish. A short portion of the course will be on blacktop. There will be an alternate course planned in an event we have significant rain and the kids cannot cross the streams.

Notice: NO spikes will be allowed in the Gate House while using the restrooms. Ask your runners to be courteous and flush when finished and to throw paper in its’ place.

RUNNING SCHEDULE:

Please arrive in time to walk the course if you want. I will only delay the first race if I know a team will be late, not because a team is still walking the course. (NOTICE TO COACHES; if you are on the road, get lost or have bus problems, please call this cell phone: (704-7805) by 9:15am.

1. Boys Varsity --------------------------- 9:30 a.m.

2. Girls Varsity ------------------------- - 10:00 a.m.

3. Jr. Varsity Boys & Girls --------------- ---- 10:30a.m.

Awards will be below the Gate House or @ the Pavilion --- 11:45 a.m.
