Dear Coaches,

The WV Cross Country State Championship is less than 5 weeks away and many coaches have already made their motel reservations that will be staying Friday night. Most of my rooms, which I blocked, have already gone to those coaches, but there are many motels in our area from Huntington to Charleston. You can get online at www.wvcrosscountry.com and see local information about the motels. We will be putting more motels on the list in the Charleston area by this weekend. There are still about 15 rooms left at the Days Inn (304) 733-4477 off the 29^th street exit, which is about 10 minutes from the course. Coaches have taken the rest of my blocked rooms from other motels across the state. Just let Days Inn know you are reserving for the state XC meet and book the rooms under your own school name. Last year I made a lot of team’s reservations for them, which took me from Friday to the next Thursday to finally finalize everything. This year you make your own reservations and notify me the day after the Regionals which motel you're staying. On Saturday before the state meet, we will be paying for the free motels rooms.

If you qualify one team, you receive 2 rooms free. If you qualify both the girls and boys team, you receive 4 rooms free.  Individual qualifiers receive 1 free room. However, if you qualify more than one individual and they are the same sex, you receive just one room free.

If you think your team has a chance to qualify for the state meet, we highly recommend you book your rooms now because you can always cancel after the Regionals.
