Former Morgantown and current WVU runner Maria Dalzot has been named to the U.S. Junior Mountain Running team. This is the same event in which former Ravenswood runner Andrew Benford (currently at Richmond) competed last year. If you recall Benford's 12th place finish was the highest ever achieved by a U.S. Junior Runner.

There are a couple differences in this year's event. First, this year, the event is in Ovronnaz, Switzerland rather than Turkey. Second, this year's event is not strictly uphill. The Junior women will run one loop of a 4.05K course which is equivalent to just over 2.5 Miles (plus about 88 feet).

The race will be held on September 15th.
