Predicted AAA Girls Team Results
Perhaps I spoke too soon. This has actually shaped up to be a better team race than the boys' side. I've got the top 3 teams separated by only 5 points and a fourth within 22 of first. On the right day, any of the four could take it home. Morgantown has been on top pretty much all year, but this will play out very closely. Morgantown is very strong from top-to-bottom. Cabell Midland has a very good pack in their 1-5 girls, and if they move up a spot or two as a unit, they could win it. Their 6 and 7 are very similar to Morgantown's 6 and 7, so every spot will have significance in this race. Preston doesn't quite have the depth of the other three teams, so anyone having an off day for them will really hurt. They're very strong through the front four and have a very solid number five, but drop fairly significantly after that. University, at 17 points behind Preston, isn't out of it by any means. Their depth is excellent as I have their 7th finishing ahead of the 7th for both Morgantown and Preston. Their 3-4-5 girls will have to move up a few spots apiece to be in contention or have one of the three move up dramatically by herself. That could certainly happen as their #4 was in the top 10 at one point this year.

Predicted AAA Girls Top 25
What an exceptional group! I hate not seeing Courtney Yaeger in there as well. At mid-season, I would have slotted her into 3rd place. Kaylyn Christopher has one every meet that she's tried to win. The only reason she's not on top of the rankings is her choice to use some meets as tempo runs. Amber Riley comes in as the top ranked runner, but was beaten by Pettit and Chase at the Regional Meet. I'm betting that doesn't happen again. Christopher can't be too far off her game because Riley will be waiting. Allison Pettit, Monica Chase, and Chelsea Clark could finish in any order, but since that's the way it went in both the Conference and Regional Meets, that's what I'm sticking with. Brooke Boening had a bit of a down stretch but looked good in her Regional Meet and has performed well in the past on the big stage. Lydia Martinelli knocked off Boening at the Oatlands Invitational and could move up. Ashley Teets beat Martinelli at the Regional. Alex Dent has been very impressive late in the season. Rachel Williams appears to be the top of the crew for the Midland pack, though their front four could really come in just about any order. There's not really anyone in the front 26 that would be a complete shock to see take home an All-State Award. The predicted top 25 are as follows.
