2006 Region II “Class AA-A” Cross-Country Meet

 

 

Dear Cross-Country Coach,

 

            Doddridge County High School is pleased to host the 2006 Region II “Class AA-A” Cross-Country Meet.  Listed below is information that may be useful to you as you plan for the meet.  Feel free to call or e-mail me if you have any questions.

 

 

Date:               Thursday, October 19

 

Schedule:        2:00pm Boys’ Race

                        2:45pm Girls’ Race

 

Site:                The meet will be held at the Doddridge County Park.  To get there, take Route 50 west out of Clarksburg.  Take a left off of Route 50 onto

Snowbird Road.  (There is a Chevron Gas Station/Convenience Store at this exit.)  You will travel 1.2 miles on this road and the park entrance will be on the right.  Snowbird Road is approximately 20 miles from Clarksburg.  There is also a sign on Rt. 50 that says “Doddridge County Park”. 

                       

Awards:          The WVSSAC provides a team plaque for the team champion in each division.  We will also have medals for the top 10 finishers in each division.

 

                        These awards will be given out at the conclusion of the meet.

 

Entries:           There are special regional entry forms that are required by the WVSSAC.  They were included in the packets from the WVSSAC to the cross-country coaches at the beginning of the season.  The original copy needs mailed to the WVSSAC and a copy of it needs to be mailed to Greg Bonnell, Meet Director, at Doddridge County High School, 201 Stuart Street, West Union, WV  26456.  In addition to the WVSSAC form, we are asking that you fax the entry form enclosed in this mailing to Josh Weekley @ 1-775-655-5335 by Friday, October 13th, as he is our computer operator.  This form will also be posted on the runwv website.  On this form we would like for you to list your top 7 and your 2 most likely alternates. We will actually prepare numbers and labels for your 2 alternates, as well as your “top 7”, in case they have to run.  At the meet you will be permitted to substitute anyone that is listed on your WVSSAC entry form.  You will have to see Coach Weekley at the meet to make any changes. 

 

Misc.:             1) There will be a concession stand at the meet.

                        2) Please let your parents and other fans know that the admission for this meet will be $6.00 for adults and $5.00 for students as required by the WVSSAC.
