PikeView Cross Country Invitational

** Mark your calendars. Due to the Cabell-Midland Invitational, PikeView has changed the date of our Invitational. I hope you can still join us on September 2.

Date: Saturday, Sept. 2, 2006

Times: 8:00 – 9:30 Course shown

10:00 Girls

10:40 Boys

11:20 JV Boys & Girls Combined

12:00 Awards presentation in Auditorium

Where: PikeView High School

--Coming from Charleston/Beckley, take exit 14 (Athens/Pipestem). Turn left for 2/10^th mile, Then left again on Eads Mill Rd., School entrance is 3/10^th mile on right.

Awards: Team – 1^st, 2^nd AAA Boys & Girls

1^st, 2^nd AA/A Boys & Girls

* There will be only one race for boys and one for girls. Classes will run

together and be scored together.

Individuals: 1^st thru 20^th each varsity race (Classes combined)

J. V. - 1^st thru 5^th male / 1^st thru 5^th female

Entry fee: $25 One Team / $50 Two Teams

$7.00 Per Individual

No charge for JV -- JV runners cannot be entered unless a school has

a full team entered in the varsity race.

Course: Varied, Grass and Wooded Trails, Several Hills, Two small stream

crossings (stepping on rocks or running through – optional)

** Locker rooms and showers will be available

** Refreshments will be available for runners after the race

** Free coffee and food will be available for coaches at concessions

** T-Shirts will be sold

** If you know of other teams that are interested, please encourage them to call.

Please complete the enclosed entry form and return along with the entry fee by August 25. We are going to score by computer, please list all possible runners. (Entry forms will be mailed in August)
