Former Ravenswood standout Andrew Benford has been named to the US Junior Mountain Running Team. He'll be competing at the World Mountain Championships on September 10th in Bursa, Turkey. Andrew is one of ony four selected for the Junior Team. The Junior team is limited to those under the age of 20. The Junior race will be 8.5 Kilometers, which is nearly 5.3 miles. During the race, the competitors will climb nearly 3000 feet. More information on the race can be found at www.wmrt2006.org.
