Meet: AAA Boys State Meet Predictions
Location:	Mineral Wells, WV
Date: To be held October 29, 2005

Predicted AAA Boys Team Results
Cabell Midland once again comes in as the favorite. With three likely to
finish in the top 10 and depth that exceeds all other teams, they have to
be the favorite. North Marion will try to hold off Preston for 3rd. North
Marion has gotten the better of them most of the season and looks to have
the upper hand coming in. Fairmont Senior could up-end both teams is they're
hitting on all cylinders. However, they'll have their hands full just trying
to hold off Parkersburg South for 4th. Jefferson has a shot at the 5th spot
as well. When they're all on their game, as they were at the Regional Meet,
they can make a major move.

1. Cabell Midland 61
2. North Marion 77
3. Preston 94
4. Fairmont Senior	118
5. Parkersburg South	125
6. Jefferson 155
7. Elkins 164
8. Hampshire 185
9. Parkersburg 209
10. Capital 245
11. George Washington	252

Predicted Boys AAA Top 25
It looks like we could have the ultra-rare occurrence of a Freshman walking
away with the individual title. David Ciarolla has been at the top of the
heap for almost the entire season. However, he was beaten by Josh Holley
at the Chick-Fil-A Invitational, so he's certainly not unbeatable, and I
expect this race to be very tight. Holley is the favorite for 2nd. Nick
Walsh has been elevated to 3rd based on his MSAC Championship. David Bias
also beat Holley at the MSAC meet. Brian Floyd beat Holley and Bias at
the regional meet, so he has to be considered a threat as well. Cass Meadows
finished 3rd last season and seems to be starting to come around late in this
season. Travis Mersing's ranking has been hindered by the meets that he used
simply as a tempo run. He's definitely better than his ranking indicates.
Matt Rouzer has had some up-and-down performances. A good showing could land
him in the top five. One of the bad ones could drop him out of the top 15.
Corey Waybright has come on late and has the speed to move up. Andrew Skidmore
was a bit off in his regional meet, but has been very steady throughout the
season. Cory Hampshire is another Freshman that could easily move up the list
into the top 6 or 7. There are a number of other runners who could crack the
top 10 as well. Here are the predicted top 25.
