                                           CROSS COUNTRY INVITATIONAL

 

 

Dear Coach,

 

            We would like to invite you to the one of the most competitive, most challenging, and most scenic meets in West Virginia.  Elkins High School is proud to be the host to one of the oldest cross country meets in the state.  Our course at Davis & Elkins College has been host to the West Virginia State Cross Country Championships in the past and hopefully again will have the honor in the near future.  Please come and enjoy a unique experience with your team.

 

Location:  Davis & Elkins College Athletic Fields

                  Elkins, WV

 

Date:  Saturday, September 17, 2005

 

Event times: Varsity girls – 11:00am                  Varsity boys – 11:45am

                      Combined JV – 12:45pm            Awards – 1:30pm

 

Awards: The first three teams and the first fifteen individuals in the varsity races will

               receive plaques.

 

Course: 5000 meters, open fields, woodland trails, stream crossings

 

Scoring: The scoring system will be Hy-tek.

 

T-shirts: Meet shirts will be on sale near the concession area.

 

Entry Fee: $50.00 for two varsity teams; $30.00 for one varsity team; $5.00 for individuals.  There will be no charge for JV runners.
