EAST FAIRMONT HORNETS

WINNER’S CHOICE/ WHITE DAY GOLF COURSE INVITATIONAL

You are cordially invited to participate in the annual East Fairmont Hornets/Winner's Choice Invitational to be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2005, at White Day Golf Course, located on Rt. 73 between Fairmont and Morgantown, approximately 4 ½ miles north from I-79 exit 139.

This will be the SAME Cross Country Middle School meet that is held each year, however, again this year we will have awards. LOTS OF AWARDS! There will also be a fee to participate and the location has changed. This is due to anticipated timbering on our previous course.

Therefore our course will be totally different this year. Instead of our “Never-ending” hill and in and out of the woods, we will be running on the golf course. The exact course has not yet been set, however, it is our hope that we will be able to incorporate a water crossing in conjunction with the gentle rolling, rolling of the terrain. Time and weather conditions will dictate the final course map.

Race Times: 4:30 p.m. Girls Varsity

5:10 p.m. Boys Varsity

5:55 p.m. Girls and Boys Junior Varsity Combined

6:45 p.m. Awards

Awards: Medallions will be awarded to the top 15 Varsity Boys and the top 15 Varsity Girls.

Medallions will be awarded to the top 10 Junior Varsity Boys and the top 10 Junior Varsity Girls.

Plaques will be awarded to the top 3 Varsity teams (Boys and Girls)

Plaque to the top Junior Varsity Boys and Girls team.

EVERY ATHLETE THAT CROSSES THE FINISH LINE WILL RECEIVE A RIBBON.

Entry Fee: 40.00 for two teams. (Boys and Girls)

$25.00 for one team.

No charge for JV teams or runners.

$5.00 charge for an individual runner(s)

Make checks payable to East Fairmont Junior High School.

Deadline: Thursday, September 22, 2005. Please complete the attached entry form in order for us to have enough ribbons on hand. Thanks.
