Invitational
Dear Cross Country Coach,
The Tyler Consolidated Middle and High School Cross Country teams would like to invite you to our first ever Knights Early Bird Invitational Cross Country Meet. We hope to begin an annual event that can grow and become better each year. We hope you will consider attending our meet this year.
Date: Monday, August 30th, 2004
Location: Boreman Elementary School and the Tyler County Fair grounds
Located on route 18, East of Middlebourne, WV.
Time: Coaches meeting – 5:15 p.m.
Boys Varsity race – 5:30 p.m. (reserves also included in all races)
Girls Varsity race – 5 minutes after the last boy finishes.
Boys Middle School race – 5 minutes after the last girl finishes.
Girls Middle School race – 5 minutes after the last boy finishes.
Awards: There will be awards for team champion and runner up. Top ten individuals in each race will also receive awards.
Cost: Entry fee will be $20.00 per team. (Boys & Girls teams are separate.) As this is our first time hosting a meet we would like to keep your cost down so there will be no charge for individual entries. There will also be no charge for spectators at the gate! Entry fee’s can be hand delivered to me at the meet or mailed to:

Entry Deadline: Monday, August 23rd, 2004.
Course: For High School athletes the course will be 5,000 meters and Middle School will be 3,000 meters. All mostly flat with grassy surfaces and one small creek crossing, (not through deep water). The start and finish areas are in close proximity and viewer friendly. Any suggestions on how to improve our course for next year would be greatly appreciated.
