RAVENSWOOD INVITATIONAL MEET

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 2^ND at Cera Park, 8 miles South of Ravenswood.

COURSE: The course will host the REGION 4 CLASS AA-A MEET. The first loop is a 1.9 mile outer fun and it will take the runners the farthest from the starting line. The second loop is a 1.2 inside loop and will offer the fans a great view of what will be an exciting day of races. The course has a variety of twists and turns and two moderate hill climbs. IT IS A FAST COURSE AND YOUR RUNNERS SHOULD HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY FOR A PERSONAL BEST TIME. MIDDLE SCHOOL: The middle school race will be a 2-mile event.

DIRECTIONS: Once you enter the town of Ravenswood, you need to take Route 2 to the park. If you are traveling south on Interstate 77, exit at Silverton and stay on the four-lane road. You will proceed through two stoplights and then stay on the road until it becomes a two-lane road. The park will be about 8 miles south and it will be on the left.

If you are arriving from the north on Interstate 77, exit at Ripley and take a left at the light. You will be on Route 33. Follow this road for about 8 miles until it joins Route 2. Take a right at this point and the park will be 1.5 miles on the right.

If you are coming through Ripley, stay on Route 33 all the way through town and under the Interstate bridges. Follow Route 33 for about 8 miles and turn right at the junction with Route 2. The park will be on your right about 1.5 miles from your turn.

12:15 JV RACE (BOYS AND GIRLS COMBINED)

AWARDS: VARSITY: 1^ST, 2^ND, 3^rd TEAM MIDDLE SCHOOL: 1^ST TEAM

VARSITY INDIVIDUAL: CHAMPION PLAQUE, 2-5 plaques, 6 – 15 MEDALS 16-25 CERTIFICATES

JV: CHAMPION 1-10 CERTIFICATES

MIDDLE SCHOOL INDIVIDUAL: CHAMPION PLAQUE, 2, 3 Medals, 4 -15 CERTIFICATES

ENTRY FEE: $50.00 per school for a boys, girls, and JV team. $25.00 for one team. $ 5.00 per runner if entering less than five runners. MIDDLE SCHOOL: $25 for two teams, $15 for one team. $1.00 per middle school runner if not a complete team.

SCORING: Top 7 count for scoring purposes. You can only enter 7 runners for the Girls & Boys Varsity races, but the JV and Middle School races are unlimited entries.

CONCESSIONS: Will be available. T-SHIRTS will be sold.
