South Preston Middle School DOWN ON THE FARM INVITATIONAL

Dear Cross Country Coaches,

 

The South Preston Middle School Cross Country team would like to invite you to the 3rd Annual Down on the Farm Invitational.  We greatly look forward to hosting middle school teams on our viewer-friendly course at Tunnelton-Denver Elementary.

 

When:   Tuesday, September 21, 2004

 

Where:   The Down on the Farm Invitational will take place at Tunnelton-Denver Elementary School in Tunnelton, West Virginia.  The course is fast and challenging with flats, meadows, hills, and woods.  The course is viewer friendly and is approximately 2 miles.


Event Schedule:

3:00 - 4:00 P.M.            Walk the Course

3:45 P.M.                      Coaches’ Meeting
4:15 P.M.                      Varsity Girls’ Race                  
4:45 P.M.                      Varsity Boys’ Race
5:15 P.M.                      Combined Junior Varsity Race

6:00 P.M.                      Brief Awards Ceremony

 

Awards:   Team plaques will be awarded along with ribbons to the top-10 finishers. 

 

Entry Fee:   The entry fee will be $20 per team ($40 if you have both boys’ and girls’ teams) and $2 each for individual runners (JV teams will not be charged extra).  Please make checks payable to South Preston Middle School.

 

Concessions:   Light concessions will be available as well as the official Down on the Farm Invitational T-shirt.

 

Deadline:   If your school is interested in competing in the Down on the Farm Invitational, please contact Brad Martin at South Preston Middle as soon as possible. Entries will be limited due to limited space.
