Meet: AAA Girls State Meet Predictions Location: Mineral Wells, WV Date: To be held November 1, 2003 Predicted AAA Girls Team Results Fairmont Senior has been coming on strong over the second half of the season and only after regionals were they able to claim the top spot in the RunWV Power Rankings. They have been dominant recently and look to be a solid favorite to take the title. Elkins had been sitting atop the power rankings until Fairmont Senior knocked them from their perch this week. A great day could land them back on top. Morgantown is a little bit of an unknown quantity, having chosen to run many out-of-state meets. We have to consider them a threat for the title, but it will likely take an off day by the other two contenders to get them to the top. George Washington 294 Predicted AAA Girls Top 25 Claire Berryman has been nearly untouchable this season. Only when teammate Ahna Lewis beat her at the Autumn Classic has an in-state runner defeated Berryman. She has to enter the meet as the favorite. Ahna Lewis is usually not far behind and is likely the only threat to beat Berryman. The pair should give Morgantown a 1-2 finish. The field tightens up considerably after those two spots. Fairmont Senior's Emily Corley has been very solid throughout the season. Preston's Amber Riley has been a little inconsistent but has shown a tremendous upside. Heather Saffel is at her best on fast courses. Molly Stevens seems to have figured something out in the last two weeks. Diane Kenaston was an All-State performer from a year ago and could crack the top 5. Aleacha McClintic has been strong all year. Alison Spiker has run solidly and has good finishing speed for the final stretch. Emily Bailey has been in the mix in pretty much every meet.
