The Bridgeport
Indians would like to invite you to the second annual BHS Indians Freedom run
on September 20, 2003 at Bel Meadows
Country Club. Take I-79 exit 115 Stonewood/Nutterfort. Go towards Phillippi on
Route 20 South. It is approxiamately 5 miles on the right.
Event Schedule:
7:30 am Course Tour
8:00 am Open Race (5000 meters)
8:45 am Awards Ceremony
9:00 am High School Varsity Girls Race (5000 meters)
9:30 am High School Varsity Boys Race (5000 meter)
10:00 am High School
Junior Varsity Boys and Girls Race (5000 meters)
11:00 am Middle
School Girls Race (3000 meters)
11:30 am Middle
School Boys Race (3000 meters)
Course:
The course consists
of rolling hills along the golf course, woods, and two small stream crossings.
Spikes can be worn.
Awards:
Awards will be given
to the top 3 overall finishers in both male and female races and the top 3
finishers in each of the folllowing age groups:
14-under, 15-19,
20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-over
The Awards Ceremony
for the open race will take place approximately 8:45 am.
Post race drinks and
refreshments will be available immediately following the race.
Entry Fee for Open Race:
$10.00 Entry Fee for
all Registration postmarked by September 13, 2003. $12.00 Entry Fee for all
Race Day Registration and those postmarked after September 13, 2003. Make
checks payable to Bridgeport High School. T-shirts are guaranteed to all
participants whose registration is postmarked on or before September 13, 2003.
There will be a limited supply of T-shirts available for those runners that
register on race day. An admission charge of $3.00 for adults and $2.00 for
students will be applied to anyone staying for the high school/ middle school
competition. All WVSSAC passes will be honored.
Concessions:
Hot and cold
concessions will be available as well as the official 2nd Annual Freedom
Run T-shirt.
