On Monday, Dec. 8, Braxton Cross Country runner Jenna Marie Facemire was involved in a car wreck. She was life-flighted to the trauma center in General Hospital (Charleston). She was in a coma and has recently become alert. However, she still is relying on the respirator for her breathing and can only move her eyes and fingers.
The doctors and nurses say that cards and pictures are good things to try to stimulate her. We are certain that cards and/or letters from you, your team, or your school would be greatly appreciated.
Jenna just received her acceptance letter from Fairmont and hopes to participate on their Cross Country team next fall.
Most of you probably do not know Jenna, but your help here could help her through this difficult time. The doctors said that "running probably is what saved her life" because she is strong.
She is still in ICU and it looks like she will be there through the holidays.
Cards may be sent to:
Jenna Marie Facemire
ICU, General Trauma Center
Charleston, WV
or to
Braxton County High School
200 Jerry-Burton Drive
Sutton, WV 26601
and they will be taken to her.
She could use your prayers and your support.
