5th Annual Braxton County/ Bucks Pizza Invitational X-C Meet

  

The Braxton County Cross-Country meet will be held October 4, 2003 at Holly Gray Park in Flatwoods, WV.  This year, we will have Varsity, JV and Middle School races. 

 

AWARDS will be given to the Team Champion and Runner-up in both boy’s and girl’s varsity races.  The first 10 individuals in each varsity race will also receive awards.  There will be an award given to the top finishers (boy and girl) in the J-V and middle school races.

 

COURSE  The course consists of hills and rolling terrain (All grass with one small stream crossing).  Spikes are recommended.

                   Girl:  Jessica Taylor – Fayetteville – 20:28

 

ENTRY FEE  The entry fee for the race is $25.00 per team or $40.00 for both boy’s and girl’s teams. A maximum of seven runners may be entered in the varsity races.  Individual runners will be $5.00.  An admission charge of $3.00 will be applied for anyone not transporting a team of five or more in one vehicle, in uniforms.  All WVSSAC passes will be honored.   

 

Time:  Course Open – 8 – 9:45 am

Varsity Girls – 10:00 am

Varsity Boys – 10:40 am

JV Girls – 11:15 am

JV Boys – 12:00 am

Middle School – 12:30

 

Awards – 1:15 (Awards will be presented at the Pavilion next to the finish line).  A computerized scoring system will be used, so please fill in all possible runners on the entry form.  No changes will be accepted after 8:30 am on race day.                      

 

Directions – Take the Flatwoods Exit off of I-79.  Turn Right at the stoplight.  Do not turn again until you see a sign for route 39 (Airport Road).  Turn left on route 39.  Continue Approx. 1.5 miles until you see a sign for Holly Gray Park on you left.  Turn in to the Park entrance.  The registration area is Approx. 1/2 mile from the entrance.
