Wild and Wet Cross Country Race

Location: Clouston Road - 2 miles North of Cameron

October 12, 2002 (8:30 a.m.)

The Cameron High School Cross-Country team invites you to participate in the Wild and Wet Cross-Country Run. So named because of the four water crossings and several log jumps. The course is very spectator friendly with at least two miles of the race visible from one point. Approximately one mile will be run on trails and the rest on a partially built golf course. There are two sections, which are fairly steep after crossing the creek. The approximate one mile-section in the woods (an old logging road, which has been groomed) is from 100M to 200M above the creek on a bench. The woods are mostly flat or downhill.

Runner's Awards: Age Groups:

Top 3 overall men and women Men: 12-under, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50 -59, 60 and over

Women: 12- under, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50 and over.

T-Shirts guaranteed until they run out. Not guaranteed to race day entrants.

Registration: $10.00 - registration facilities will be available at the course.

From the West Virginia area you would travel Route 250 to Dragon Field at Clouston. At Dragon Field you will turn right across the bridge next to the Methodist Church and travel 2 miles--you will not miss the course. From Wheeling: 25 miles; Moundsville 18 miles; Waynesburg 30 miles, Morgantown 55 miles and Fairmont 55 miles.
