     Please allow me to extend a big elkins invitation for your varsity boys, girls and Jr. Varsity teams to our 6th annual “hornet’s x-c invitational.  Once again Our invitational this year will be held in conjunction with the High school Mt. State forest festival meet this year. 

 

     These start times will be “ON” time!!

     Boys Varsity----------------------------- 8:30a.m.

 

     Girls Varsity----------------------------- 8:55 a.m.

 

     Jr. Varsity Boys & Girls--------------- 9:20 a.m.

 

     Awards ceremony----------------------- 10:30 a.m.

       (In the pavilion at the top of parking lot)

 

 

     Our course will be part of the high school course.  It will be somewhere between 1.7 to 1.8 miles in length.  The runners will climb the first hill twice, once in the beginning and towards the finish of the race.  The rest of the course will be flat to rolling and yes, this includes the two creeks they will have to cross.

     I hope to see you and your young runners participate this year.  If they have not yet run on this course, they are sure to love it.  Good luck this year and I hope to see you September 21.
