Predicted A-AA Girls Team Results

Region II once again leaves two highly ranked teams home for the state 
meet. Both Doddridge and Williamstown, ranked number three and four, 
respectively, in the coaches' poll going into the meet, fell to a rapidly 
improving Ritchie team for the regions second spot.  Grafton, the champion
of that region is once again a clear-cut favorite to walk away with the
title.  They're unbeaten on the season against both A-AA and AAA competition,
and things should not change at the state meet.  Sissonville, finally gaining
the respect of the coaches in the final pool, looks to be a solid second
with Charleston Catholic a likely third.

Predicted A-AA Girls Top 25

Three-time defending champion Jessica Taylor is back for a run at her fourth
title.  Standing in her way is Sherri Flohr.  Flohr has knocked off the 
defending champion twice during the season, once at the Forest Festival and 
again a week later at the Times Invitational.  Taylor cut the gap by more
than half in the second meeting.  This should make for a great race.  Missy
Spangler and Heather McDaniel have run close together all year and should 
battle for the third spot along with Jennifer Povick.  Povick served notice
in her regional meet that she is a legitimate threat for the top three with
a nearly one minute victory over Erin Boggs.
