I would like to give my opinion on the return of the state meet to Elkins. you may reprint any or all of this email. I was very disappointed that the meet was moved back. The last state meet we ran at Elkins the course was in terrible shape and the promises to do something to improve the course was not kept for three years. "Improvement" was a little gravel thrown in the holes and closing of part of the course. What would lead anyone to think it will be different this time around? The Parkersburg course was a much better course and it was a well run meet. There was to be a change in the place it was held because the meet had grown and looked to be even better this year. It looks to me like politics instead of good sense has once again hit our sport.
