BEARCAT Combo INVITATIONAL

Dear Cross Country Coaches,

The Grafton Bearcat Cross Country team would like to invite you to the 4^th annual BEARCAT Combo INVITATIONAL. The "Combo" is a unique invitational that judges the top cross country school in the area. This is accomplished by adding the boys and girls team scores together to get a combined school score. We also will be sponsoring a traditional middle school meet prior to the varsity competition.

When: Saturday, September 16^rd, 2000

Where: The Prowling Grounds (Taylor County Fairgrounds) located along Route 50 just west of Prunytown.

Events Schedule:
9:00 Open Race (5,000 Meters)

10:00 Middle School Girls (3,000 Meters)
10:30 Middle School Boys (3,000 Meters)
11:00 Varsity Girls (5,000 Meters)
11:30 Varsity Boys (5,000 Meters)
12:00 Junior Varsity Girls and Boys (5,000 Meters)
12:30 Awards Ceremony

Awards: The top fifteen individuals in both the varsity and middle school races will receive medals. The top five schools in the varsity competition will receive trophies. The top two boys and girls teams in the middle school division will receive trophies.

Entry Fee: The entry fee will be $40 per school for the high school and middle school races. For the high school races, make checks payable to G.H.S. Cross Country. For the middle school races, make checks payable to T.C.M.S. Cross Country.

Concessions: Hot and cold concessions will be available as well as the official BEARCAT Combo INVITATIONAL T-shirt.

Deadline: If your school is interested in competing in the BEARCAT Combo INVITATIONAL, please contact Coach Paul Martin as soon as possible. We will limit the number of varsity teams competing to 15 teams.
