BRAXTON COUNTY INVITATIONAL 2000

Dear Cross Country Coach,

The Braxton County High School Cross Country Team would like to invite you and your team to the 2nd Annual Braxton County Invitational held on Saturday, September 9, 2000.

The meet will consist of Varsity and JV races.

The schedule is as follows:

DATE: Saturday, September 9, 2000

LOCATION: Holly Gray Park near Sutton, WV. From 1-79, take the Flatwoods Exit.

Proceed right on Rt. 4 (toward Sutton). Approximately 2 miles from exit, you will see a Go Mart station on your left. Turn left onto Airport Rd. Look for sign for Holly Gray Park on your left (approximately 2 miles).

TIME: 7:30-8:45 Course tour

9:00- Varsity Girls Race

9:45 - Varsity Boys Race

10:45-JV Race (Boys and Girls)

AWARDS: Top three teams boys race (trophy)

Top three teams girls race (trophy)

Top 10 Girls Varsity Race (medals)

Top 10 Boys Varsity Race (medals)

Top 5 Boys JV Race' (ribbons)

Top 5 Girls JV Race (ribbons)

Awards will be handed out following races near start/finish line.

COURSE: The course consists of a mostly wooded trail with rugged, rolling terrain. (Spikes recommended).

ENTRY FEE: $25 per team or $40 per school (covers both Varsity and JV races). Make check payable to BCHSX-C

T-Shirts and Refreshments will be available for purchase. Please complete the entry form, as we will be using a computerized scoring system.
